I am planing on putting a set of gothic flames on the front of my truck, along with a few other designs My second paint job and first graphic paint job . However, when giving the appearance of hovering the graphic over the main color of the truck by using drop shadows, does the perspective of the light source change when you cross the center line of the hood?
For example would the shadows be on the right side of the graphic on the right side of the hood, and on the left side of the graphic on the left side of the hood?
This may be a silly question, but when the flames are on the side of a vehicle they are always on the bottom, regardless of the side they are on. As you follow them up across the hood to the point they meet (the center) something has to happen there. In reality you wouldn’t have shadows from two different perspectives on the same plane, but painting may not always reflect reality.
