Drop Shadows on black BC

Scott, you seem to be the wiz on drop shadows. I have purple metalic flames on blck base and I want to achieve a more 3D effect with drop shadows. Where the flames cross is no problem but what color can you recomend on black?

Sorry to say but there will be no shadow on the black. All a shadow is, is the absence of light on the base color. Being black, the shadow will be black.
