I have a flat black Chevy Aval project coming up soon, my plan was to spray a 2 stage with dupont's matte clearcoat. but while talking to the rep he told me about dupont's 2k single stage hot rod black paint. he sells it to local dealerships and they love it apparently and its durable. Well i was reading the tech sheet and it says to spray at 60psi at the cap of my HVLP gun and that i would need a 2.0-2.4 fluid tip. i asked the rep about that and he said he was pretty sure none of the dealerships even had tips that big and that they were prob using 1.5-1.7 and still spraying at 10psi at the cap. my question is... has anyone sprayed this stuff and what tip/air pressure were you shooting? most importantly, how did it turn out?
