What is the easiest paint for a beginner to use so he doesnt get runs?

Also when you use base coat clear coat is you get any runs or anything in the base coat can you sand them out before you clear? I mean will the paint still go shiny when you clear coat?

Thanks

BASECOAT CLEARCOAT IS EASY TO START WITH BECAUSE DUST, LINT, RUNS ETC. CAN BE SANDED OUT OF THE CLEAR AND POLISHED. SOLID COLOR BASECOAT CAN BE SANDED AND CLEARED BUT IF SPRAYING A PEARL OR METALIC, SANDING CAN DISTURB THE PLATELETTES AND CAUSE BLOTCHINESS. AFTER SANDING OUT THE IMPERFECTION YOU WILL WANT TO SPRAY ANOTHER COAT TO ENSURE GOOD DISTRIBUTION OF THE PEARL OR METALIC. BASECOAT DRIES SUPER FAST SO IT IS HARD TO RUN. I LIKE VALSPAR BC/CC, IT GOES ON FLAT, DRIES FAST, AND RUNS ABOUT HALF THE PRICE OF PPG. NO MATTER WHAT WAY YOU GO, MATERIALS ARE EXPENSIVE SO PLAY AROUND BEFORE SPRAYING SOMETHING CITICAL. A MAILBOX IS SOMETHING GREAT TO PLAY WITH AND I KNOW GUYS GETTING $65 FOR A FLAMED MAILBOX.

A good Inexpensive clear to use is Western automotive finishes "overall" clearcoat. A GALLON of clear with a Quart of hardener only costs 75.00 from Sherwin-Williams auto finishes. It is a 2 coat clear that goes on and lays out nice! I personally have used it in my shop and in my buddies bodyshop with no problems.Oh and before i forget you can use it over any basecoat.I use sherwin-williams mostly...mostly.
