Embossed Tank

In my tank the Harley Davidson Lettering is embossed(raised letttering) What sjold i do with that if I want to custom paint my tank? Forum has been a big help for this newbie.

yeah that s that funky silk screen or decal under thwe clear. you can just have the tank media blasted and start with a nice clean substrait.
or if you don't won't to blast you could spend the time and strip the tank yourself w/ 80 grit or use a chem. stripper.

block sand the clear down in the areas were graphics are, then sand the rest of the tank. prime over it and paint away. it's a factory paint job, you shouldn't need to worry about painting over it.

you could strip it bare like sure said, but you don't need to. you can just paint over the existing paint, just make sure you've sanded all the stickers off and prime it.
