I have a client that wants to install a flush mount LED tail light in his rear fender and wants me to do it - only problem is I've never done one of these and of course there aren't any directions that came with the light - The LED itself is removable from the (red lens) cover that sits flush in the fender - The bracket that it sits in has two tabs that I thought when I first looked at it, I could tack weld on the inside of the fender, but after closer examination - turns out the metal is aluminum - So - Has anyone out there installed one of these and exactly how did you do it ? Did you leave the (red lens) plastic peice in when you put your clear on and clear the whole thing -- I know I can do this - I just don't wanna have to spend and extra 8 hours doin it and end up buyin a new LED light --- $250.00 -- Thanx for any help up front!!

There is a company called Hi- Tech that specializes in flush mount led lighting, they sell an epoxy for installing these lights. i personally think it looks better when the lense is cleared over for that true flush instalation

I used an epoxy (the stuff for Glass) for the mounting thing. Then came over the top(Lens) with casting resin(Clear) to bring it even with the metal.
