Fan placement and heat in spray booth

I have constructed a 8x10 spray booth in the corner of my shop, the walls are insulated as well as the ceiling, my question is where should I place the fans, exhaust fan is of course on one of the exterior walls, but should it be ceiling height, floor level, or in line with the parts stands, same with the incoming air fan? Also I was thinking of installing an electric forced air wall heater just outside the booth and running a duct into the booth, filtered of course, is this safe or am I risking a chance of explosion?

depending on what you are spraying ,you want to place the exhaust fan in a location so that the overspray is not moved over the most visable point on the part being sprayed.

Since the heater will be outside away from the fumes it's fine but make sure it's not one of those heaters that may throw a spark off the heating elements when air is drawn over it.Not so much that the spark will come in the booth and ignite the fumes or overspray but it may set the filter on fire. The only place I wouldn't put the intake is low so the air slides across the floor. The semi downbrafts seem to work well with the intake high and put the exhaust around mid heighth, you don't want it too low and drag a breeze across the floor. The best wall to have the exhaust on is the one that has the large entry door. That way if the doors leak it turns around and goes right back out without the dirt being drug across your work.
