Final glazing

Just wondering what everyone does for a final glaze?

I use 3m micro-refinishing glaze with the waffle pad, but when I wipe the film off, it leaves tiny little scratches. The cloth I have cannot be any softer than it is, and it is clean.

Do you go over it with a hand glaze or what???

The little scratches drive me nuts. I know they don't show up when outside, but they show under the flourescents........ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif

Well, I already have handglaze, but I have never heard of the Dupont polishing cloths. Are they like the microfiber cloths? I have heard of those, but never seen em...

LS, I use 100% cotton flannel. There's thick and thin stuff, get the thin stuff. Make sure it's 100% cotton. The blended material will produce fine scratches. I worked at a plastic plant for 29 years and the only thing we found that would not scratch acrylic was the cotton flannel. I use the finessit finishing material then imperial glaze. Imperial glaze brings out the colors and hides any hairline scratches or swirl marks. Like anything else, make sure the cloth is clean and don't wipe with too much pressure. Just enough pressure to remove the glaze. TC /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/agree.gif

3M also has a "detailing cloth" ment for removing hand glaze. I use them and they work great. They are yellow in color and come in two sizes.
