Acrylic Lacquer painted outside in our Winter, av. temp. 16C.
Used the excess Por15 from inside the tank to do underside of welded guard, it's a 44 gal drum. Beefed up the strut holes with fibreglass bog and a strip of t-shirt soaked in the Por15.
Oil tank is 2 gas bottles welded together.
Biggest trouble was the outline, no reply when I asked so I taped off the line on 2 different levels where the blue flake meets the black and the maroon line would sink, next time I'll blow enough clear to cover so as to make a flat surface for the outline.
After each colour I would clearcoat which came in handy when I had to remove and redo a flame stuffup.
Anyway I'm happy for my first custom job, I learned a lot from this forum so thanks heaps guys.

Here's another.
Flamepain, TAZ, thanks, that tape leaving it's mark plagued me TAZ, I had them drying in the car during the day and inside with the fire on at night for nearly a week, laid tape, pulled it off 10 mins later, nothing, mask off the flames and paint, take off tape there it was, then comes Spring and the wind picks up and the bugs come out har har!
