I finally get to try doing some flames on an actual vehicle , I'm doing a paint job on a lowered S-10 with a V8 and its black . It took a fair bit to talk the guy into doing some flames and when I said 'ghost' flames it kinda peaked his interest so I get to do ghost flames , what would be the easiest , I dont have access to HOK but I do have a mixing station and I have pearls .

If you've got a good assortment of pearls in your system play with them first in some base clear since the cost is real minimal, but HOK has a decent price on their dry pearls to cover the rest of the spectrum. You can buy them from places in the link section for under $20 a jar.Mix up some of yours and do some test panels, there's lots of things to do with your existing mixing bank.

Well I did it today and I think it turned out pretty good for my first time . I took a bunch of pictures and I have to see if someone will host them for me , I have a new puter and it does not have Frontpage2000 like my old one so I cant upload to my site , I'll figure something out .
I did the truck black and then once the flames were masked offf I took some clear base , added some blue pearl and turned the pressure and the pattern waaaay down on my gun and sprayed away , only along the edges , then I took some white pearl that I had from something else and lightly did the tips , kinda looks kewl .
