Is it worth it to use 3M micro polish before you use Finesse it?I'll wet sand to 1500.

Each paint has it's own "best" compounds and polishes to use.
I used to use the Microfinishing compound. I have also used the Finesse polish. Both work great. I also used these with the old wool type pads.
I still currently use Perfect It III 5936 comound, then the 5996 foam pad glaze. Both with the waffle pads. This after using 2000 grit to wetsand with.

On 1500 scratches the microfinishing will cut faster.I use Finesse it compound with a fine wool pad,then run over it again with a foam pad to remove the wool pad's swirl marks and catch any scratches not quite gone and then use Finesse glaze (or polish?) on another foam pad.Remember no wax for at least 30 days.Just keep it clean and I use something like McGuire's (sp) Instant Detailer.
