Hi All,

First, great forum. I've been reading for months, but this is my first post.this flame job wouldn't have happened without all the great info I read here.

This is my first flame job (I've done a few airbrushed murals in the past). The lady in the picture is the owner. She's 64 and her name is Sunshine. She said she wanted her car to "stand out" :)

Any feedback or comments are appreciated. This job was done with Auto Air colors (magenta and purple pearls, over a base of metallic white (fine) and cleared with duPont high solids clear. I didn't clearcoat this, I'm just an airbrush artist, but I'm hoping I can do the clears some time in the future.)

I've got a bunch of step by step photos if anyone is interested in seeing them.

Thanks again, its great to find a place where people are willing to help each other out.

Hey guys, I sure appreciate the feedback.

It was a trip learning to 'draw' with the fineline tape :) I tested the limits of what "repositionable" means.

I have a question, it took me about 50 hours total for the project, is that ridiculously long? I learned a lot, but I'm not sure how long it *should* have taken. Any thoughts?

Thanks again,

I guess it depends on a few things. I don't think 50 is that bad for your first time. I myself spend about 20- 40 hours on a job depending on how complex the design is. The first one ALWAY takes the longest though.

P.S. it loks great
