First Harley Set Kandy Brandywine

Here are some pics of my latest project. "Kandy Death"

Take a look at my link and let me know what you think. You have to see in person the quality of the Metal Flake and airbruhing combined. Another thing could someone let me know what the heck they will fit. I seem to have forgotten since I work 60 + hrs a week in the Air Force and paint on the side.

Great job....looks good......can I ask what color you used under the candy?

As far as what your tins fit on...looks from the pictures that they are stock softail tanks n fenders or wide glide, by the big dent on the front of the rear fender it looks like 84- later softtail

I started with HOK BC-02 orion silver. I added some mini silver flake to it on the last 2 coats. I then intercoated with some more metal flake. I added a total of about 2 oz. of metal flake. After it dried I airbrushed my design whith weak BC-25 black. I used an Iwata HP-C to do the artwork. I then used UK-01 Kandy Brandywine spraying 5 med wet coats overlapping 75%. Finished the thing off with UC-35 clear and finished it off wiith 2 good coats of UFC-35 clear. Cut and buff to a high gloss. The whole project from start to finish took about 15 hours.

You have alot more talent than I do,nice man.I fixed your link so it will work.If they are for a Wideglide it'll be pre 93,but I don't know if there's a difference between early WGs and Softails.

Thanks for the fixing of the link. I posted another one in airbrushing. Sorry about the email address. I can see where you and Scott are coming from. I took the set to Harley up here in Anchorage and got to show off my work at the dealer. They and some customers gave me the props that I need to boost my skillz.

I am working on my next set sometime next week so I should have them done and posted in a few short weeks. Provided that I am still here and not deployed being in the Airforce and all. Later Dayz,

Good deal on showing off the work locally,I'm suren you'll get some work out of it.I sure hope you don't have to go into that mess over there.The thing that p!sses me off about that deal is Dad didn't finish the deal when he could have and left JR. to take the fall for it.I'd have no problem going if they needed me but I'd have to go freelance,I'm watching too many of our guys get killed from a laxidaysical approach to the situation.I still don't think they realize the mindset of these psychos and they sure seem to be affraid to get ruthless for fear of someone getting mad at us.Ooh,I'll stop before this rant starts.Good luck with your adventures.
