First place in show and shine

Just want to thank everyone who helped me with my questions and to those who regularly answer the questions on this site. I entered my bike in its first show and shine yesterday and it placed first in the cruiser division. Without the help and tips I picked up on this site I would have never painted my bike myself. For a first attempt I am very pleased with the results. Thanks again and this is a great site.

Painted a friend's bike last year - second bike I did - and he got only 2nd in his class. Dang! You beat me!

PS I'm going to be in Bloomington IL from Wednesday through Friday. Looking at your profile you live in central IL. You live near there? I won't be on the bike, though. Taking the Family Truckster and the kids to see an ill relative. Might get with you and have a beer and tell some lies.

. I am originally from Bloomington. I still have relative there but now I reside in Mattoon, It's about 90 mile south/southeast of Bloomington.

Didn't get any e-mails from ya, so must not have worked out. Oh, well...I'll be out there again sometime this summer or early fall. We can try it again then.

Really stormed in Bloomington while I was there. It rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock. Something like 4 to 6 inches in one night. Spent a lot of time picking up limbs and branches out of my sister's yard the next morning. What fun! ;-)

If I don't catch you here, I visit Overland park a least one a year...(Company Headquarters) and maybe we can hook up that way.
