I just did a purple tank with dark green flake flames. After I based it with DBC2000,I taped and sprayed the flames with DBC500 blender and HOK green flake.I had a problem with the 1 to 1 mix so I mixed it 1 to 1 and 1/4.Depending on your gun, the flakes come out funny so a little more reducer helps.Dont go overboard with more reducer .I use my old devillebiss for thick paints like imron and ppgs truck line,MCV.It works great for flakes.I had terrible coverage untill i added alittle more reducer and a gun with a bigger fluid tip.It took 3 coats of the flake and 4 coats of clear and it looked great.I dont know if this helps but I tried.
