I'm new in airbrushing and I'm trying to paint flames on my helmet. Are there any tips in painting symmetrical flames each side of the helmet or do I have to measure it myself?
YOU CAN ALWAYS GO OLD SCHOOL
TAPE OFF HALF OF A SIDE AND USE SOME TRANSPARENT PAPER AND FLIP IT OVER BUT.....BEING ITS A HELMET THE ROUNDNESS IS HARD TO DEAL WITH, BUT THEY DID IT BACK IN THE DAY SO SOME OF THE OLDER MEMBERS HERE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE SOME POINTERS
I just freehand them and try to create the illusion they're the same.Since I'm right handed and work better from lt to rt I usually do the right side first.When I like the layout it seems easier to duplicate on the left side since I'm free'r flowing on that side.
