Im the new kid in town, This is the best site I have found..I have a question for the someone with color experience. I want to use a gold flake base coat under my flames with a black outline then candi red on top. My problem is I was going to use black or purple on the rest of it and candi, but I don't want that much of a difference. Body to dark and flames lighter. I want more of a blend. Has anyone ever put silver under candi red, if so how would it look with the gold? would the color combo work?

Go to the samples of work section. There in the Harley section you will find a red candy job Scott did not too long ago, is that the look your after? if so some of the job specifics might help out or we can try to put you in the right direction. Spraying candies can be a little tricky for the beguinner. The more candy applied the darker the finish, it also stripes pretty easy, candies spray just like a clear coat and are easily run. Any way look at the pictures and we will use that as a starting point.

Thanks Joe, That's close, but I think I'm looking for something like the tank match that Greg did (that looks sweet) I'm just no sure about the rest of it being so dark. How many coats do you think it took to get it that dark? and deep..He painted a purple base and then cleared it. Would it be better for me to flame it and then candi the entire thing?
