Flames on a Fairing

Heres a fairing I did about 2 months ago

Sanded down the gel coat

Primered this thing 3 times to make sure I got it as smooth as possible

Sprayed the black, and then cleared it.

Added the flames and then re-cleared it

Wetsanded and buffed out

On the bike, personally I don't think it went with the bike, but to each his own.

Looks great! What is that you have on the fairing in the second picture?

Are you talking about where it is white? If so, it was some sort of gel coating that was done when it was molded. It isn't one from Harley. The customer got it from some dude who molds them. That crap was super hard too. It took about 2 hours to sand down with 80 grit.

Yes, that white stuff. Never seen that before. Looks like it'd be tough to sand...2 hours. Looks like it turned out great though.

Me neither, I did a fender a while back that was gel coated but it seemed more like a clear coat. This stuff was like plaster lol. Thanks
