I will be shooting the Chevy orange paint on my 72 Chevy C/10 in a couple weeks now. Just want your input as to what color flames would look nice against the orange.

just shot the hood of a 67 barracuda with chrysler orange which is a little lighter than the chevy color. the flames were silver to ultramarine blue with bright purple tips. the darker colors on the long thin tips were more noticeable on the lighter orange. i will include a picture as soon as possible. just researched some complimentary color applications in a 1st year college art appreciation book. some applications make sense when choosing colors

Blue is my choice. I just brought orange paint for my dune buggy and I'm going to lay out flames in cobalt and midnight blue.

I've seen em done in a bright green that diddn't look too bad. Silver is always good. Black woulbd be okay too maybe a little plain though.
Just my 2 cents.

Holly Cow Purple fade to Florescent Hot Pink tips. Its bold, its loud and slightly obnoxious. Just my 1 1/2 cents worth....
