I have a bike that needs some paint, but i dont have that much equip so im gonna rattle can it. I want to do a flat black job with some thin off white flames. my question is, can i just clear coat the flames? if i clear the flat black it wont be flat anymore right? should i not clear it at all. i know this wont last long, i just need my sporty to look a little different for next year.

I would spend a few $ more and get some satin trim black. It'll last much longer than flat black, flat paints oxidize and chalk out fast. You can clear it with the same type of rattle can clear but then it would be cheaper to gloss black it.
