What is the name or # of ppg's flat or semi gloss clear coat. I'm lookin to paint my coupe black w/ flames, but don't want the shine of regular clearcoat.

Thanks, Mark

You will probably have to buy the regular clear, then add the flattening agent. This way, you will also be able to control on how flat you want it.

I haven't used the PPG flatening agent, so I don't know the number of it.

In the Concept line there's a formula for an eggshell and semigloss, but I don't know the # for it.I'll see if I can't find it when I get some time.

Thanks for the reply, I read somwhere that the flatening agent was prone to chaulking ? I beleive the semi gloss was originaly for import bumbers or trim ? I would like to have a little knowledge about this before I go to the paint store, don't want to be dependent on counter person for mis-information.

Thanks, Mark

I haven't found it yet but I only had a few minutes to look.Basically it's just flattner mixed in,and you're pretty much right about it chalking out.The flatter you make it the quicker it'll go.I don't know if they still prepackage it but I know they did back a year or so ago.
