Flat Paint Sources?

Hey everyone,
I am new to the forums and new to painting. I am considering a car painting project as a first time attempt and had a question regarding paints. Are there paint suppliers who make flat finish automotive paint?
I was originally considering a little flame work on an old Bronco. However, the factory paint is so weathered I thought that it might be a good time to just paint the entire vehicle, flames-n-all!
Aside from a flame tutorial that Shaunboy has provided me with, I have absolutely no idea about how to do this. But that's another thread!

lo-brow all of the auto paint suppliers supply some form of a flattening agent. this is added to the clear the percentage of agent added changes the level of gloss. get the tech sheet from your supplier when you buy the flattening agent and it will tell you the proper mixing instructions for the level of gloss you want.

Hi low brow
How weathered is the paint?
Before actually going full on and repainting the vehicle Take it to a paint supply store or Bodyshop and ask if it can be revived with a cut and polish.
The bodyshop will be able to do this for you if you dont have any buffing tools and wont really cost that much at all.
You will be amazed at what a cut and polish can do for paint work that is in sound condition but just faded looking.
Give it a go it will save you big $$$$ and time if its all it really needs.
although if you want a flat finish across the whole vehicle you will need to repaint it.
Remember that this is not a simple task and will require alot of time and money if you want it to look mint.
