flattening

Hi all could someone explain exactly this procedure... i know what it is just dont know how to do it properly.... what to use and how far to go with it

i have found there is no exact procedure just trial and error my experiance is i usually go at least half flattener to half base and try on a test panel first and see what kind of sheen you wish like very flat or a little shiny also i use a little accelerator also to flatten not very much though at all hopes this helps

sorry but i dont think i explained it properly..... by flattening imean the rubbing down aspect in between coats of clear (orange skin effect and its removal) so i can do so artwork ....been told it needs flattening down
