want to paint my car cobalt blue kandy never painted kandies before. I,ve only shot a total of three cars using ppg paints. what i want to know is should i go with the easier shimering kandy base cobalt blue , or the true cobalt blue kandy i want to achieve nice depth that the kandies provide. what would u recomend for a base colour i want a bright blue in the daylight. any help would be apreciated. also what do u recomend for painting over plasic bumpers like camaro's and can i use ppg global clear to finish up my project.

The Shimrin Kandy basecoats are definately easier to spray versus the UK kandies. Since this is your first candy job, I would recommend going with the basecoat kandy. You will still need to spray a basecoat under the kandy.

I would also suggest using the House of Kolors UC-35 clear. This tacks up fairly quickly.

Good luck to you!
