Gas tank repair

What's the best way to fix a dent in a gas tank? Will filling it with bondo work? Just worried that it might come off over time.

Mikey, the right way would to be pull the dent out using a uni spotter gun( it welds studs to the bare metal so the dent can be pulled with out making holes and then welding them up afterwords) then you can finish it off using body filler. just filling can be done but depending on the dent you may use loose compasity
