Gas Tank Repair

Any suggestions on the best way to repair a small dent in a gas tank? Will body filler work or is it best to try and pull out the dent, then use filler?

Probably depends on how big the dents are. I picked up a trashed tank from the junkyard to try my hand at some body work. I was able to repair some pretty big dents (2.5" diameter) and they turned out pretty good for my first time. After some paint was applied you could hardly tell.
