I painted my first set of gas tanks a week ago and the area around the cap has started to bubble, It was painted with a Dupont black base with a Select rs6020 clear.. I taped just to the lip from the inside of the opening, Anyway the fumes are leaching under it. Is there a better way to mask these areas?
I'm new at this cant ya tell [:)]

I usually leave about an 1/8" gap *around* the outiside of the bung area, then seal the edge once the paint is done. This way, the fumes have to get through the touched up edge before it hits the actual paint.
