ghost checker board

hey guys I bought a gixer. I want to do a green base with a ghost checker board on the bottom of the cowl. How would I do it. Lay out the checkers and mix a little white pearl in some intercoat and shoot the squares I cut out? Just enough to tint the clear. Am I close to being right? I'm just guessing. Any help would be great.

Yeah man,you have it.Do a test panel first and clear it to test the pearl strenghth because the clear will magnify it a few times over.When you can see it in raw basecoat it'll show up stronger under clear.
