ghost flame question

I am painting my harley (first paint job on bike) i have sprayed some HOK silver base on, then some intercoat clear. my plan is for green ghost flames.
Should i tape flames and use a gold met base then kandy green over intire tank and fenders.. or should i tape flames and spray a coat or two of kandy green then remove tape and kandy over everything then clear?.. i hope yopu guy understand that... thanks indvance Bud

My suggestion would be to use the silver base, then darken the silver slightly (if you want real subtle flames), then spray the green over the complete part(s)

since it is a silver met base should i use just some black HOK base to mix with it? thanks for the quick reply... Bud
