Ghost flames... blue.

Hi, want to do blue ghost flames on my chopped beetle.
ive been reading your how to section, which is great... just need some info on which paints im going to need...
i would like a really nice deep blue for the main car colour, not to dark, and not to light..
any ideas??
also, could you organise a 'kit' for the stuff i would need??

Hello,
I just did a ghost flame job for a customer using Ford color L2 (dark blue though) for a base. Then I used straight blue pearl toner (1 to one mix with 895 base clear) then add 1 part reducer. You can see the pics in my "Samples of Work" section.

If you really want some neat effects, you can check out the House of Kolors chart ar your local auto paint supply store.

Another nice dark blue is Ford LA. S1 is a nice medium blue with pearl in the formula. This is an excellent "in-between" color. Probably one you would like.
Check out you local auto paint supply store and ask to see their "2002 Color Chip book".

Scott , What's up with the link. A while back I was looking for an example and it was pulled before it was posted? Just wondering what the difference was in the above post.
