Ghost flames for base color GM red/orange suggestions?

Yea ok don't laugh about the basic color... Its a challenge. Enamel is what I'm used to but...I want this to paint to last. I've had a few ideas about the color for the flames, but not all make sense so I'm looking for more ideas.

Since you are looking for ghost flames over an orange/red base, here are a few ideas...


black
silver pearl
Take the orange/red color and darken it slightly, so it's the same color only a darker shade.
