i want to put some small ghost flames on my black truck. When you guys spray the silver white ghost flames as in job # 132 or 133 do you use a colored paint or a powder mixed in intercoat clear? also I was wondering if scott is using an airbrush to get the outlined effect? those flames are very cool. Oh yea I am using HOK Thanks guys

Goast flames like the ones you mention are usually don with a good quality airbrush. If you don't have one you could try using a small detail gun cutting down on the fan size and turn the neddle in to limit the amount of paint being sprayed prctice on anything you don't mind tossing away( junk yard fenders are a good practice) that way your working on the curves to get the "feel" good luck

I'm pretty sure He used a pearl toner(PPG) but if you go with HOK,you can use the paste or powder in the intercoat clear and get the same effect,I asked him about this before and he stays right on the tape line but blows it toward the center. It takes some practice though,I tried it and it's alot tougher than it looks, you have to keep a steady hand.Do yourself a favor and get an airbrush,It's much easier to control but, still takes some practice,I still can't follow a line without alittle wave here and there. If you use paint, you have to thin it way down, you can go over it to be more even,if you use straight paint,it doesn't work as well and you'll see every mistake.
