I want to paint ghost flames in a deep purple base but the look i am after is one that you only see the flames when the light hits the flames at a angle. Would i just paint the flames with the same base coat with pearl added to it then a clear coat??? This is new for me so any pointers would be great or How to's...

Thanks.. Jerry0

What I would do is paint the base color, tape off your flames, then use a purple variation (Violet, dark plue, etc) pearl and that should get you the desired effect. Then clear the whole thing.

Do a test panel first using different numbers of coats to find out which one you like best.

ive found that lilac pearl shows really nice over a deep base but only when the sun hits it or even when headlights shine across the panel
