going to be ghosting in a couple weeks

im going to be painting my dads old goldwing in a week or two, got a couple questiongs its going to be a medium blue, not sure of the exact color yet, and im going to ghost either a couple flames down the side or a wing on each side of the false tank side panels. which would look better for the ghost effect, and over reduced silver, or a lightned color of the blue, i afraid if i go with a darkened shade that it wont look right where its a medium blue already. also i want to put some pearl in the clear, (powdered) i cant remember which pearls i have access to but i know theres one that gives a bluish tint over white, ill double check on that today and get back to you guys so you can help with that.

use a pearl in a clear for the ghost effect. it'd be shimmery and cool looking

hoss you mean pearl over the entire thing, or just use the pearl/clear for the flames and then regular clear over the whole thing with no flames laid out in base? i had planned on useing the over reduced silver maybe one light coat or two tops, over the blue then useing a green mica pearl in the first couple coats of clear over the whole thing, then a coat or two or strait clear on the top. what do you thin kabout that? all info greatly appreciated!!

i was talking about useing the pearl/clear for the flames, then plain clear over the whole thing. if you have a metalic base, you can shoot a pearl/clear ghost flame over it. that would be pretty cool looking.

do a test pannel and take it to the sunshine.

it would be cool if the basecoat had no metalic to it also. the flames would be metalic and the base would be plain. that might add a lot of depth.

the base is metalaic, ime also thinking that would look cool, but what if i did a trible in the over reduces silver, then laid another tribel intertwineing or just over it on the ends or something, in the pearl clear green mica ? i thaught that might look good. let me know what ya think on that

hey guys, hopefully you will see this, these are the pics of my fathers goldwing that i ghosted flames on, was my first attempt and i think they came out alright. i ended up just doing the one set in over reduced silver, then i misted the main color over top untill i was happy with the look, then threw a green mica pearl over the whole thing foir a shimmer.
