Gold basecoat

Hey Scott,
About the Gold candy basecoat you're recommending. I'm trying to understand what effect it will have when the Blue pearl is sprayed over it. Does this just make the Blue look deeper or stand out better or something? I appreciate the advice and everything you've given me on this. I'm really on a tight budget and will probably have to do it myself if it gets done. Peace Bro.

I'm not sure what's going on here.Are you doing graphics over a candy base?Normally the candy goes over a solid,metalic or pearl base because those will drown out the candy if reversed.If you want to test a combination,do a test panel.Doing a gold candy over a blue base is going to bring out some green in either a cast or color depending how much you put on.

Although I recently did a candy colbalt blue over a gold base. Maybe this is what you saw

If this is what you are talking about, you can use different basecoats under a candy color to change the appearance of the overall look of the candy color.
