I spray a base coat of darker to Med.gray and then start with Lt tones. The trick I leaned is, Spray the color across the edge of a clothes pin or something simular. This fans out your spray and depending on how far away from the object depends on the effect. I keep the clothes pin right at the edge of the nozzle of the airbrush . Add cracks for a different effect ar lightly spray across the edge of torn news paper. Have fun, Russ
