Thanx guys.I was coming home right down the road from the house and was coming up on a turn with a railroad crossing in it.As I was getting close to the turn a semi coming the other way was going too fast I guess and started taking over my lane. When we got close I had to take the shoulder to miss him. That didn't bother me but what did is that the edge of the road was too high to get back up on and straight ahead was the crossing light pole and the tracks built up on 3ft of rocks, and by now the bike's doing the light hopping on uneven ground. Now the only option is bail off,but with foward controls it's more like roll off.Since all I was wearing was jeans and my leather jacket of course I hit head first getting a nice gash in the top of my head and a bit of gravel rash, and got a little rash on the outside of my right leg through the jeans. The wife was far enough behind me to miss the accident and the truck just got back in his lane when she passed him and she stops-not freaking out unbelievably. She says she's going to get the bike out of the road so I get up hobbling on my left leg until the feeling comes back in the other. Here's the funny part-as I'm hobbling (it's dark out) I happen to find the culvert going under the road and pull the old Wiley Coyote off the cliff-SOB that hurt.On the way down it took a chunk out of my shin and when I landed on my feet at the bottom it jammed my knee with that sharp pain that bounces off the top of your skull. That's my luck,I walk away from bailing out at 40mph with no helmet and I screw myself up as I'm walking away /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gifI hurt from hair to toenails the next day but after that only the stitches and the leg.The bike ended up cartwheeling somehow and landed in the road.I think the forks got tweaked but it wasted the sheetmetal, alot of the rt side and the swingarm. If the tranny case or the frame is bent she'll probably total but if not I'll rebuild it.I've got a pic and see if I can reduce the size.Later guys and thanx.
