Hi everyone!
I've registered up here as I'd be interested in painting my car myself, so I need as much advice as I can get. A good friend of mine is a professional painter so if all else fails I'll go to him but its certainly something I'd be interested in getting into.
My first question is; I'd like to paint my car blue, it must be a cross between the light shade of Porsche Riviera blue and the darker Peugeot Indigo blue. What would be a suitable colour? Another alternative to the blue would be to keep my car the original Damson colour, but my last car was similar to this and I'm tempted to go with something bolder. I like the purple tone of the colour just now, but when its not sunny outside it doesnt look as appealing!
What would be involved in preparing the car for base coat? What primer would be used? And finally, what is the best place to get all my paint from? My friend has a gun and compressor in his garage so it would be done there with his equipment!
This is my car;
