Help prevent bleed thru

I just laid down some HOK FBC-10 (Pavo Purple) over Orion Silver. My flame job has been taped out over the silver so when I lift the tape, I'll have a silver pin stripe.
After I laid down the purple base coat, I then sprayed intercoat clear (SG-100) so I could now tape off the areas that are not flames. When I tape this off, I'm going to fill in the flame area with Zenith Gold.
I have two questions;
1.) Should I use a real clear coat over the purple before I spray the flames to prevent bleed thru or is the intercoat clear enough to continue?
2.) If I need to lay down a lighter color first in the flame area to get the gold bright enough, do you think a BC-26 dusting is okay or should I go back with Orion Silver?

I once had a bleed thru problem before but I think it was a white over a dark color that gave me problems.
I just don't want any problems after all this work I've done so far. Instead of the intercoat clear so I could tape off, maybe I should have just gone ahead with a two part clear.
What do you all think, am I okay to continue on and start taping off with just the intercoat clear or should I use a two part clear first?

Thanks to all,
Phil

You'll have no problems with bleed through for the BC's when using SG-100. Bleed through only happens on their Kandy Kolors.
I would spray a lighter base for the gold, white or the Orion silver will be fine.

Thanks DDG. I laid down 3 good coats because I've had trouble with underlying colors affecting HOK gold or silver.
I'll be clearing them all this morning.
