Help with metalflakes

I plan on using metal flake for my next project, and need a little help. My plan of attack is to lay down a base of single stage omni, then clear with the omni containing metal flake in it, then another clear over that. Will this be okay? I asked about bc/cc in omni, and one of the workers said that this would be okay since they used the same hardener. As for metal flakes, I've only been able to find Hok metalflakes. I know everyone says not to mix systems, but it doesn't seem like the flakes would react with another paint system. Also, what would be a good amount to add per quart. I've seen the jars in 6 ozs, would this be enough? My last question is, where can I find these flakes? I live in Connecticut, are there any Hok dealers nearby? I've seen these on the eastwood company website, but the shipping is almost as much as the flakes themselves.
Thanks for any help,
Kyle

I did a little sleuthing, and was able to answer a few of my own questions. In case anyone was wondering, the Hok flake can be mixed into PPG products without any bad reactions. As to a dealer in Ct, I found a general paint dealer who ordered the flake. I still need to know if Omni clear will hold on Omni single stage, and how much flake to add per quart.
Thanks,
Kyle

The clear will stick to the singlestage but it will be much cheaper to use basecoat white along with geing much thinner. The jar of flake will say how much to add as a good reference.Try to get the flakes done by 2 coats so you can throw a straight clear coat on it to sand, the finish will look like it's full of trash so you knock down that last straight coat and reclear. If you don't do it this way you'll end up sanding some of the flake and burning the color off it.
