Help with School Project

Hi there,

I'm an undergrad student working on a marketing project regarding the custom auto paint industry. We want to see perceptions of brands and understand what goes into a decision to use a certain paint brand over another. Right now, we are looking to do 15 minute interviews with auto body shops to get a better understanding, but many shops we contact seem to be too busy to talk. If you work at an auto body shop and would be willing to help, please contact me at mill4753@umn.edu, it would be super helpful to our project!

Welcome to the forum, but I'm finding it hard to understand why you added a post like that when there are over 21000 posts talking about a variety of paints and materials along with procedures. Have you looked at any of the posts given throughout the forum? I'm sure if you look, you might find some of the info very useful. You'll learn in life that not everything is given to you...you might have to do just a tad bit grunt work yourself. 20 years ago, you would have had a BIG problem, but yet with the internet...here it all is...all the info right in front of your own eyes.

Thanks for the advice! We have been using your forum a lot to gain some feedback on paint brands. It's been really interesting seeing everyone's work and what custom paints people choose for different projects. I wanted to apologize for being a little too straightforward with everything in my last post...

Now, for a question. I know that you are the administrator and wanted to ask your permission before I posted a survey. We have been sending them out to our list of auto body shops but have not had the success we wanted. The survey is obviously confidential to the painters and has a $5 Amazon gift card reward for about 10-15 minutes of time. Let me know if this would be OK to post on here- I don't want to seem like I'm spamming or anything and was unable to send you a private message. Thanks!
