Hello, I am a newbie and I need some help. heres the skinny - I laind down a base of HOK solar gold and shot some Kandy Tangerine (KK mixed in SG-100, not UK kandy) over it. I masked off some graphics with 3M 1/8" fineline over the Kandy Tangerine and painted them green. Here is the problem - When I went to peel off my 1/8" finline it left a band of Kandy Tangerine that was lighter than the rest of the piece. I have a band of lighter color kandy tangerine bordering my graphics. What happend?? Where did I go wrong??? WHat Caused this??

Also, in many places where the regular masking tape was, glue was left of the Kandy Tangerine and it will not come off???

What do I do?? I am very new to this so any comments on where I went wrong would be greatly appreciated.

I've had some weird stuff happen with SG-100 too. I always wait a day or 2 after shooting it before I layout any tape or grafix. The can says you can wait 30min to an hour and then lay out your grafix, but everytime I did it that way, when I pulled the 3m blue tape off it would leave this weird mark under it that would also be in the metallic base --

If you want to make sure -- put a final clear between coats or wait a day or 2 on the SG-100 -- The tape problem sounds like you used a cheap tape that left the adheasive on when you pulled it off. Use the high dollar 3m and it shouldn't happen again ---- Good Luck -- Bones!~
