i am in the process of flaming a tank for my fathers bike...my question is this...how the heck do you make them so symetrical on a tank??...i work in the auto body business in a jag dealership , and have been painting cars for about 21 years , and never had a problem on cars with flames , because...(YOU CANT SEE BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME)....LOL any advice would be helpful , as im doing this free handed

You use paper and make a patern, then pounce it onto the other side. If you do a search on this sight, there is a more in depth description of the process.

I just eyeball it from side to side. I have never had anyone complain that the two sides did not match. If you get one side completely done the way you think looks good, give it a try. You'd be amazed at how easy it is to duplicate something VERY close. Sometimes I can hardly tell the difference. LOL
Give it a shot, you've got nothing to lose but tape time, and it takes alot less time than doing it with the pounce wheel once you get the hang of it, altho I've done it that way as well when I need something to be exact, like grafix or something. Good Luck!!

flames are not symetrical... dont worry about it..
just make sure you have an even ballance of flames from one side to the other.
