High Detail Helmet

I've got a potential client that wants me to paint a HJC Symax helmet. It's got quite a few little plastic pieces on it and the whole front swivels up. I can take the helmet down to two pieces and remove the shield.

What I'm worried about are the vents on the chin and on the top of the helmet. I'm worried that there may be slivers of the original paint showing on the edges?

Also, on vent pieces that move, I don't think there's any way to get paint into all those crevices? Any advice?

What few helmets I have done I always popped the vents out. They either snap in or glue in. Sometimes you have to superglue them to get them to stay after re-assembly.

I have had to do a couple of these helmets with the top vents. I called the customer and informed him that the top vents didn't want to come out and I didn't want to risk damaging these $250 helmets. I super glued them shut. I got the O.K. from the customer first, but he had no problem with it.There were enough vents that were still functional or permanently open. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/luck.gif
