Going to paint a bike lime gold pearl. I want to do some candy purple flames. I have used the kk intensifiers before mixed with sg100 to do the candy flames. I am going to use silver base and airbrush some black skulls in the flames before I candy them. Could I use the candy apple red base coat? Would this be transparent enough to let the skulls show through? What is the difference between the kk intensifiers and the urethane kandy? Do they both give the same effect? Is one better than the other?

The KK has the benefit of being able to mix it in whatever strength you need to get good coverage; the UK has the benefit of being harder when dry and also you can apply more coats if needed...

KK in SG-100 can be applied no more than 4 coats. If it's the last thing I am applying before clearcoat I prefer the UK... if I'm doing multiple Kandy colors I prefer KK.
