Hey Guys,
Great job on this board! It's nice to see people willing to help, without all the sarcastic remarks and flaming(sorry for the stupid pun) of the people posting. I do have 2 questions for you.
1. I'm spraying an entire car with HOK KBC04 Oriental Blue basecoat , followed by a dry pearl mixed in SG-100 ghost flame, a couple of coats UC-35 clear, wetsand, a couple more flowcoats with UFC-35. My question is...the KBC is supposed to be a bleeder... the tech sheet says it must be cleared with UC-35 clear, wait 12 hours, and sanded before artwork can be started. However, the tech sheet for the UC-35 says that no basecoats can be applied over a catalyzed finish. Can I spray the whole car with intercoat clear, sand, do the art work, then catalyzed clear, or will the KBC bleed through the intercoat clear, into the ghost flames?
2. Do I have to add flexible additive to any of these HOK products to paint the flexible urethane Ford bumper covers?
Thanks,
Larry
