OK, so I just got the HoK chip book to pick out something for my truck (90 Chevy shortbed). I was thinking of doing the flames (over white or pewter, can't make up my mind) in one of the Shimrin Kandy Basecoats, namely Apple Red as shown sprayed over a metallic red. But the Razzberry color shown in the Designer Pearls also looks pretty nice.
Whick of the two would be easier to shoot? I'm wanting to avoid mottling and striping. The truck will be basically two toned, only HoK red from the body line up, but this will include the hood and roof.
I've not had any problems shooting a PPG candy red on small stuff but am a tad concerned about the large flat panels I'll be dealing with on the truck.
