D DDG Guest Dec 10, 2002 #2 Sure, why not. I mix paint brands on all my jobs. A typical job is PPG epoxy primer, PPG...DuPont...or HOK base, HOK using PPG reducer, and I use a DuPont clear. No problems ever, so compatibility doesn't seem too important to me. Dirt

T TWISTED Guest Dec 11, 2002 #3 As long as it is all the same type of paint (urethane or laquer) you should be okay. I have used urethane clear over laquer jobs (Harley factory colors) and had good results. I would suggest trying it out on a test panel first.
