HOK METALFLAKE

I want to do a HOK metal flake flame on my tank. I want to use the green of Fireball(red) Ultra Mini flake. What color base should I use? I want to do a black tank with red or green flames and a white outline. I know the flake gets mixed in with clear but can they be painted over white? I am going to tape the outline of the flames and work my way in since I can't pinstripe by hand. I guess all I need to know is if I can flake over a white base? Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

I just got finished spraying my flames last weekend and I mixed HOK mini flake in with my base and it worked really good. I used a green base and silver flake and it showed up really good.

You can lay your base color then shoot some inner clear with the flake over the top then do what ever graphics over the top of that.
