HOK's metallic line works great, although I don't think it's any better or worse than PPG

Go here for color chips

HOK Color Chips

Go here for Tech sheets which will tell you what primers, clears, prep, etc.

HOK Tech Sheets

Good luck,

If you can find a local shop with some color chips, I'd recommend stopping in a taking a look at these, especially in some sunlight. The web color chips that HOK have on their site don't really show the brilliance. I just finished a paint job with Sherwood Green metallic base and Lime green flames topped off with mini-gold flake. I think it looks pretty good, but looking at these colors on the web, you wouldn't think to use them together.

Just my 2¢ - Stretch

You can use a good gun for all three, but if you have a good base, clear gun I'd avoid it and use one gun for the primer and the other for base and clear. The ideal scenario would be a gun for each. If not make sure you clean the gun really well between shoots, especially with the primer, and I mean really well. The needle, nozzle combination may be and issue too, the type of primer etc. I'd go no lower than a 1.4, but thats just me.
Good luck and
